Enable the App Install Banner
To enable the App Install Banner on your Shopify theme:
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
Open App embeds from the theme editor.
Select Apploy App Manager.
Scroll down to the App Install Banner section.
Enable Show App Install Banner.
Configure the banner settings described below.
Click Save.
Configure the App Install URL
The App Install URL is the link customers use to install your mobile app.
To create the required short URL:
Install Super QR Codes on your Shopify store.
Open Dynamic QR Codes.
Create a Mobile App QR Code with a Short URL.
Copy the generated Short URL.
Return to the App Install Banner settings.
Paste the Short URL into App Install URL.
Why use a Short URL?
The short URL provides a single installation link that can direct customers to the appropriate app installation experience.
Upload the App Install QR Code
The banner can also display a QR code that customers can scan with their phone.
To configure it:
Download the QR code generated for your mobile app.
In App Install Banner, find App Install QR Code.
Select Select.
Upload the downloaded QR code.
Use a QR code that points to the same app installation URL configured in App Install URL.
Customize the Banner Text
You can customize the text displayed to customers.
App Install Banner Title
Enter a short headline that encourages customers to install your app.
Example:
Get the app
App Install Banner Subtitle
Use the subtitle to explain why customers should install the app.
Example:
Install our app to get personalized alerts, faster shopping, and exclusive offers.
Keep the subtitle concise so it remains easy to read on smaller screens.
App Install Button Text
Set the text displayed on the installation button.
Example:
Install App
You can change these values to match your brand and messaging.
Choose the Banner Type
The Mobile Banner Type setting controls how the banner is displayed.
For example, the Floating option displays the banner as a floating element on the storefront.
Choose the banner type that best fits your storefront design.
Adjust the Banner Position
When using the Floating banner, you can control its position and spacing.
Floating Bottom Offset
Use Floating Bottom Offset to control the distance between the floating banner and the bottom of the screen.
For example:
100 px - Increase the value if the banner overlaps another floating element, such as a chat button.
Desktop Banner Position
Use Desktop Banner Position to choose where the banner appears on desktop screens.
Available positioning options depend on your theme configuration.
For example: Bottom Left
Desktop Bottom Offset
Use Desktop Bottom Offset to control the distance between the banner and the bottom edge of the desktop screen.
For example: 20 px
Adjust this value if the banner overlaps another storefront element.
Configure the iOS Smart Banner
The iOS Smart Banner App ID allows the app to be promoted through the iOS Smart App Banner displayed by Safari.
Enter the numeric App Store ID of your mobile app.
Find Your App Store ID
Your App Store URL will look similar to:
https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/your-app/id123456789
The number after id is your App Store ID.
For example, if your URL is:
https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/your-app/id123456789
enter:
123456789
in the iOS Smart Banner App ID field.

Final Checklist
Before saving your configuration:
Show App Install Banner is enabled.
App Install URL contains your mobile app Short URL.
The correct App Install QR Code has been uploaded.
Banner title has been customized.
Banner subtitle has been customized.
Button text is appropriate for your store.
Banner position does not overlap other storefront elements.
iOS Smart Banner App ID is configured if you want to use the iOS Smart Banner.
Click Save after completing the configuration.
Once saved, visit your storefront and verify that the app install banner appears correctly on both desktop and mobile devices.
